Allow me to catch up all up with the events of the past few months. My hosting agent, Andrea Patrick of Patrick Talent of LA, got me an audition for ShopNBC, the third largest shopping channel in the US. They flew me out to Minneapolis, for a 4 day audition process which included my going on the air for 2 over night segments. They offered me a job within the next few weeks and they wanted me to start right away, but my concert commitments in Florida prevented me from starting until May.
I did 8 outdoor concerts for the Orlando Philharmonic singing at such lovely venues as Craneﾕs Roost Park and Newton Park in Orlando. They all were alongside a lake at sunset. It was a wonderful experience for all!
This Spring I also shot an infomerical for Salton's Complete Health Center by Juiceman, co-hosting with tennis legend, Martina Navratilova. She was great to with and the whole team at Convergence Productions was first rate.
Somehow or other, I managed to fit a birthday in there somewhere on a very special day, 04/04/04. I celebrated with friends in Orlando and then flew to Venice, Italy for a quick three days.
May 17, 2004 was my start date at ShopNBC. I am now in training, learning indepth all about jewelry, fitness, jewelry, home, jewelry and more jewelryﾉ.you get the picture. If you know me and how much I love jewelry, you know I am in heaven. I should be on the air in July and I hope you tune inﾉ..and buy, buy, buy!
Since I don't know anyone in Minneapolis, I am fortunate that my dear friend, Jan Neuberger, is in town doing Pirates of Penzance at the Guthrie along with my friend, Brian Sutherland. It is great to spend time with old friends.
I will be traveling to Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England for my concert there July 24. If youﾕre nearby stop by Whirlow Hall Farm for a picnic at 4pm and the concert at 7pm.
